Dr. Dre’s divorce from Nicole Young is reportedly over – Billboard

After 25 years of being married to Nicole Young, Dr. Dre seems to be happily single.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, music industry vet Breyon Prescott shared a photo Dre’s, in which the producer is pictured smiling innocently at balloons that read “AF SHARE”.

Young filed for divorce from Dr. Dre in Los Angeles County Superior Court in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences.

Earlier this year, Dr. Dre was ordered to pay Young $2 million in spousal support by January 11. He is also responsible for her expenses and the cost of maintaining their residence in Malibu, Calif. In July, Dr. Dre was temporarily ordered to pay Young nearly $3.5 million in spousal support annually, a figure that drops to nearly $300,000 a month.

The January financing deal with Young comes days after it was announced he was recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from a brain aneurysm. Just hours after he was hospitalized, suspects targeted his $50 million Brentwood Estates in a purported burglary.

Dr. Dre and Young were married in 1996. The former couple are now parents to two adult children: son Truice and daughter Truly. Dr. Dre is also the father of four children from previous relationships: Tyra, La Tanya Danielle, Marcel and Curtis Young. His son, Andre Young Jr., died in 2008 at the age of 20.
