Dr Disrespect explains why streaming beats TV – and wants a Netflix show

Streaming icon Dr Disrespect believes that live streams are, by and large, better than TV these days as fans can hop on and off without missing much. However, he would not say no to his own Netflix production.

Much has been done in the last decade to see streaming and YouTube content replacing more traditional forms of entertainment like TV and movies.

Many content creators have switched back and forth between the two – particularly in the world of esports, where streamers have been able to host their own broadcasts of games – but there has yet to be a takeover by the burgeoning outlets, even if they will from day to day day more popular.

In the case of dr. However, disrespect, he believes that streaming has become the go-to place for fans, replacing television as fans can enjoy continuous broadcasts that they can customize to their day.

The Doc is never one to shy away from having his opinion on things.

During his April 20 stream, The Doc received a donation from a fan who informed him that they had to stop watching to go to an interview, but they had returned after a successful journey and were happy to have him still online to see.

“It’s one of those beautiful things that isn’t really talked about in the world of streaming.” The doctor said of its lengthy streams, noting that people can just hop in and out and rarely miss that much.

“You get off work, come back and the two-time is still up. The Arena, we still rock! Eight and a half hours later we’re still rolling baby.

“That’s one of the most underrated things about a streamer compared to saying, eh, Jimmy Fallon? What does he have to do, he shows up and has to read a script for 45 minutes and goes home. That’s easy man! Holy shit.”

As always, the two-time also saw it as a moment to pitch an idea and urge Netflix to call him up for their own late-night show. “Call me man, we’re setting the precedent,” he said.

A few years ago, The Doc landed a deal with a television company for a show based on his iconic personality. But who knows if it will ever see the light of day. Until then, he’s still taking names and winning games on stream.
