dr Disrespect explains why he wasn’t allowed to attend the Modern Warfare 2 preview event

A select few got their first glimpse of the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 at the last NFL Draft in Las Vegas. Disrespect was not invited to the event and has explained why.

Since it was officially confirmed on April 28th, the hype surrounding Modern Warfare 2 from 2022 was hard to avoid. The prospect of a comeback of classic maps and weapons from the 2009 original has fans dying to get their hands on them.

A lucky few NFL prospects and content creators have been invited to see the game in action for the first time at the 2022 NFL Draft. Many were quick to share their impressions, such as Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, who called the demo “insane.”

Popular streamer Dr. However, Disrepect was not among those able to see a segment of Modern Warfare 2, despite having previously worked on the series as a map designer in Advanced Warfare.

Speech during his May 10th electricityDoc revealed that while attending the NFL Draft in Las Vegas, he got wind of other contestants seeing footage of Warzone 2.

We now know that Modern Warfare 2 was actually shown, not Warzone 2, but the streamer went on to explain why he was banned from the event.

“The Two-Time is making a couple of phone calls to find out if there might be one [a preview]’ he said during the stream. “However, because of the Midnight Society studio, the Doc would not be invited.”

The YouTube star’s studio has been well known for a while and he makes no secret of his efforts to challenge players like Warzone and Apex Legends in the battle royale arena. It seems that Activision has noticed this and now sees Midnight Society as a rival.

However, Doc didn’t seem to be deterred from missing Modern Warfare 2 footage. Instead, he saw it as a win for his fledgling game studio.

“Think about this position, champs…I love it,” he continued. “Midnight Society is considered a competitor, I respect that. In fact, I liked it.”

He went on to say that he “preferred that response” to being invited to watch the game, claiming it shows a “respect factor” between the two companies.

Only time will tell if Dr. Disrespect will be banned from all upcoming Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 previews. But after the recent news that Midnight Society has hired an Elder Scrolls and Halo developer, it’s clear the streamer remains committed to building a studio that can rival Call of Duty.
