NEW YORK – The New York Attorney General has issued subpoenas to former President Donald Trump and his two adult children in connection with an ongoing civil investigation into the family business, according to reports. a court filed Monday.

Attorney General Letitia James’ office said in the filing that it was seeking testimony and documents from Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump “in connection with an investigation into the valuation of properties owned or controlled” by Trump and his company, Trump. Organization.

According to ABC News, both children refused to comply with the subpoenas.

“A dispute has arisen between OAG and the Trump Parties regarding the Subpoena,” a document filed Monday said.

The document, filed by James and a Trump Organization attorney, says Donald Trump Jr and Ivanka Trump will now be designated as responders in James’s ongoing investigation, which parallels his criminal investigation. Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump will file moves to rescind the subpoenas as soon as Monday, the filing said.

The former chairman and his company have denied wrongdoing and attacked the investigation as political.
