Donald Trump calls “YMCA” his favorite song when he DJs in Mar-a-Lago

Former President Donald Trump named Village People’s 1978 disco hit “YMCA” as his top pick for parties at his Florida Mar-a-Lago resort because, as he put it, “the makes people rock”.
“You know, I played beautiful music. I love Broadway stuff… The Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, etc… You know what makes them rock? ‘YMCA,'” Trump said on an episode of “Send full podcast” this was taken at the Palm Beach Resort on Wednesday.
“‘YMCA,’ the gay national anthem. Have you heard that before?” Trump asked podcast hosts the Nelk Boys. “They call it the gay national anthem. ‘YMCA’ gets people going and moving.”
The song was a staple of Trump’s campaign rallies throughout his presidency, prompting speculation as to whether he or his associates were aware of the suggestive implications for homosexual unions.

“People love it when I do it,” said Trump, who further claimed he had a gift for music. “Throughout our lives we take tests and proficiency tests and all that. I’ve always been gifted for music, but I love great music.”
When asked what song he’d follow “YMCA” with, Trump said, “Maybe ‘Hold On, I’m Comin’,” referring to the 1966 hit by Sam & Dave.
“You know, we’re actually just having a good time,” Trump said of the parties. “We have great people. There was a great place, Mara-Lago, it’s a private club. It was an amazing place.”
