The video above comes from an ABC13 town hall on domestic violence cases rising in the Houston area.
Officers arrived at the scene at Block 4700 of Eagle Cove Lane just after 8 p.m. Tuesday. There they found out that the woman had been shot.
Her husband was also found dead, with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
According to authorities, they were separated but lived in the same house.
A teenager in the home is the one who first found the victims dead in the bedroom, police said. The teenager was not injured.
The relationship between teenagers and adults is unclear.
Authorities identified the victims as Kent James and Julie James Dykina.
A GoFundMe was set up to help the family with expenses.
