Doja Cat apologizes for previous claims to quit music

Doja Cat has apologized for a previous series of tweets in which she said she was “quitting” music.

The rapper – real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – has canceled her show on Tuesday (March 22) at the Asunciónico festival due to weather warnings.

When Dlamini didn’t meet any fans at her hotel afterwards, they expressed their disappointment, claiming that she “ignored” her time in Brazil and didn’t show her country enough love.

In a tweet on Thursday (March 24), she responded to the backlash, saying, “I’m not sorry.”

She followed up with another one, writing: “When I stop I can’t wait to f***ing get out and you don’t have to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, the music is dead and I’m a fucking idiot for ever thinking I was made for this, this is a fucking nightmare, unfollow me.”

However, on Sunday (March 27), Dlamini went back on her previous promise to quit and tweeted an apology to fans.

“I can travel, I can eat well, I can see new people, I can smile, I can create memories I dreamed of, I can laugh, I can support my family and friends, I can do something about the world learn, and because of you I can give back to everyone,” she wrote.

“I owe people shit. I owe a lot.”

Dlamini continued in a subsequent tweet: “I owe myself a lot too. I owe myself the chance to open up and be good to people. I owe myself the death of my fears that do not allow me to expand my heart. I didn’t come to another country to do something I can do anywhere else. that would be kind of pointless.”
