On Friday, February 4, 2022, he is said to have deleted his social media account.

Before deleting his account, he wrote: “I will be sharing my side of the story over the next few days as I’ve sorted out the best and most respectful way to tell it, both to the parties involved. and myself.”

Who are the ‘Tinder scammers’?

Even though his real name is Shimon Hayut, Simon Leviev has scammed dozens of women under his alias.

He is accused of using the money he obtained from various women for dates on private jets and in luxury hotels; which he used as a tactic to gain their trust before demanding large sums of money with the promise of returning them.

Hayut “was charged in Israel with theft, forgery and fraud in 2011 for cashing a stolen check, but fled before sentencing”, The Times of Israel reported.

The newspaper continued: “He was convicted in Finland for cheating on women and was returned to Israel in 2017, but fled the country again.”

He was taken into custody in Israel in 2019 after pleading guilty to fraud, but was released after serving a five-month 15-month sentence.
