Death of Joanna Barnes: The star of the two Parent Trap films dies at the age of 87

Joanna Barnes, the veteran actress who starred in both versions of The parent trapdied at the age of 89.
The actress died on Friday (April 29) at her home in California. Her friend Sally Jackson announced her death, saying she died of “multiple health issues.”
Barnes was best known for playing Vicky Robinson in the 1961 film – a delightfully evil, scheming woman who marries a father of twins (whom she hates) for his money The parent trap.
In the 1998 remake, she played Vicki Blake, Robinson’s mother.
She also acted in the films Home before dark, Spartacus and The war chariot and the TV series 21 Beacon Street, The Trials of O’Brien, and Dateline Hollywood.
