The Gypsy King retained his crown by strong knockout back in October last year, with unity against then-champion Anthony Joshua looked up.

AJ is finally lost the right to defend his own title against Oleksandr Usyk and now the pair are ready for a rematch, so Fury’s attention has turned to the obligatory challenger Dillian Whyte as he put his belt on the rope again.

The 6ft 9in undefeated striker wants Whyte to accept around £5m to step aside and let him fight Usyk.

But Whyte’s team dug into how their men wanted a chance at Fury’s belt – and finally got their wish, with Warren confirming the fight on Friday, January 28.

Fury said: “I’m coming home baby. Get ready for the biggest British showdown since Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno. Formation history.”

When is Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte?

  • A date has yet to be announced for the all-UK showdown but Fury said it WILL take place in the UK.
  • Fury has not fought in England since 2018 when he faced Sefer Seferi in Manchester and then Francesco Pianeta in Belfast.

What is the battle site?

The most likely venue for the event is reported as Cardiff or Manchester, but none of the details are set in stone.

If Fury returns to his roots in the Northwest this will be his first appearance there in three years since the victory over Seferi.

And both venues will be great news for fans of the UK match, with the match likely to come at a friendlier time than the epic 5am GMT against Wilder.

Which TV channel and live stream will it be broadcast on?

BT Sport Box Office has been CONFIRMED as the broadcaster for the fight.

BT wrote in a tweet to confirm the news: “The time to talk is over! After years of back and forth, the heavyweight showdown is on!

What did they say

Tyson Fury: “All of them are just an exercise for me, I will destroy every man that comes in front of me.

“I’m an easy battle anyway, [Dillian Whyte] is really ideal.

Honestly, I’m carrying heavy bags on my feet. [He’s] ideal candidate. ”

Dillian Whyte: “Fury has been tasked with fighting me twice.

“He asked for the WBC ‘Diamond’ belt to fight me, but ran away when they agreed. He kept making excuses.

“Hopefully he has no choice now. What will he do? Throw the belt in the bin and run away with more money than he has to fight Wilder?

“[Of course] I will finish him off.” Date, location, TV channel CONFIRMED, live stream info for WBC heavyweight title fight
