Dandre Martin Arrested in Sacramento Mass Shooting That Killed 6 People While Police Search for Other Suspects and Victims

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Sunday’s mass shooting in Sacramento that killed six people and injured 12 others.

Dandre Martin, 26, was taken into custody and booked, Police Chief Kathy Lester told KCRA Monday afternoon.

Martin faces charges of assault with a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, Lester said.

“Right now, that’s really all we can say about him,” she said.

“As you know, this is a complex investigation and we are looking for multiple suspects and as such we are currently working to identify his role in the night of the shooting.”

The police said in a press conference on Sunday that a pistol had been seized so far.

SWAT members and Sacramento Police Department detectives have also issued search warrants at three residences in the area, KCRA reported.
