Dancing On Ice’s Kye Whyte forced to withdraw from tonight’s show after horror accident

DANCING On Ice’s Kye Whyte got into a bad accident and was forced to withdraw from tonight’s show.
ITV confirms that BMX racer silver medal22 years old, will not be in tonight’s movie week.
He is one of 12 registered celebrities ice skating program.
Kyle said: “It was an unfortunate accident. I’ve been practicing and working hard with Tippy to perform this weekend.
“For me, as an athlete, I’m used to things like this that happen when you’re injured and can’t compete. I’m more sad for Tippy, she worked so hard that it was impossible to fail. The tape is obviously very sad.
“We both really wanted to make this number, it was a great performance and we put in a lot of effort.
“I was so happy and excited for everyone when they skated last weekend. I watched and can’t wait to skate this Sunday. I’ll be there cheering everyone on! ”
Kye sprained his knee and was being treated by Dancing on Ice medical professionals, who advised him to step down from the show this weekend.
He will perform with his skating partner Tippy Packarda professional athlete, new figure skater and three-time Hong Kong champion.
An ITV spokesman said: “During rehearsals for this Sunday’s show, Kye fell on the ice and suffered an injury and will therefore not perform on this weekend’s show.”
Kye burst onto the ice on January 17 with a BMX bike and he scored 24 points for his routine with Dizzee Rascal’s Bonkers.
He said after the performance: “I was terrified, I’ve come a long way.”
Judge Ashley Banjo said he did a “wonderful job the first week”.
The star that made history at Tokyo Olympics 2020 after Great Britain’s first victory Olympic Medal BMX.
The Team GB hero first started riding when he was just three years old after being influenced by his father Nigel, co-founder of the popular Peckham BMX Club.
