DANCING On Ice’s Kye Whyte has returned to filming after sustaining a knee injury that forced him out of action, The Sun can reveal.
The sports champion is back and training for the first time today in preparation for next week’s game.
A source told The Sun: “Kye is back on the ice again.
“He has also returned to his bike.
“He’s so excited to be right back in practice today, they don’t want to waste a minute – he wants to win the show.
Kye injured his knee, but he’s fine.
He hopes to be able to make his bike on the ice his ‘thing’, to encourage more kids to ride bikes. “
The source continued: “Both him and Tippy regret that they couldn’t perform for Movie Week.
“They were getting ready for regular operations, but they were told for safety reasons that they couldn’t do it.”
Kye has won a huge fanbase after impressing them with her energetic Week One skating with partner Tippy to Dizzee Rascal’s Bonkers.
However, his plans to perform during the much-anticipated Film Week fell through after he sprained his wrist during rehearsal and was forced to withdraw.
The Peckham BMX star, who is also an ambassador for semi-independent accommodation service Safe House for young people, told The Sun: “My worst nightmare is falling during a live show. It’s okay to be alone, but on a live show it’s a bit crazy.”
Speaking of his fall during training sessions with Tippy, he said: “I hit the floor and just rolled on my back. I’m fine.”
