DANCING On Ice fans defended Bez and emphasized that the show’s female cast “is having an easy walk”.
The Happy Mondays star, 57, came under fire tonight after he survived another week after Love Island star Liberty Poole, 22, was cast down.
ITV viewers supported the DJ after some fans suggested he was the weakest in the competition and should have gone instead.
However, Bez’s fans took to Twitter to praise him for “skating on his own” while several female contestants were “piggybacked” by their professional counterparts.
One fan wrote: “Hopefully some of those female stars will actually be on Dancing on Ice and not get carried away by their partners. #DancingonIce”
Another posted: “I agree with you about some female celebrities being carried around, they’re definitely not Dancing on Ice.”
A third commented: “I’d rather see female skaters in contact with the ice than being carried around, they’re running with ease. I want to see Bez pass.”
“Bez is entertaining and it’s entertainment. At least he’s trying to skate by himself. Sally hasn’t tried to do anything yet, being taken by a pro is not entertainment. ice skating. She needs to go,” another tweeted.
Another added: “I think the grading is unfair. Great skaters probably get an extra point over those who can’t even let go pro – and spend most of the time. to be carried in the circle. Sally put her feet together while Matt pulled her round – and still got 6.5.”
ITV viewers were disappointed to see Birmingham reality star Liberty eliminated tonight.
The reality TV star, who collaborated with pro skater Joe Johnson, fell but quickly got up and continued her performance with Flo Rida’s Right Round.
One disgruntled fan wrote: “Here’s a fix… Bez should have gone. It’s not funny anymore. #DancingonIce”
Another posted: “Neither Liberty nor Ky should be in skating. #DancingonIce”
“This is so unfair! Liberty should have been saved. There are worse people in the fray. #DancingonIce,” a third person tweeted.
During the performance, Liberty was unsteady on her skates and staggered.
The gutted star explained that this was the first time it went wrong and couldn’t complete the “corkscrew” move.
Despite the difficulty, Liberty regained her balance and the judges gave her an impressive score of 28 out of 40.
Last week, S Club legend Rachel Stevens, 43, leave the contest after an intense skate game with BMX Olympian Kye Whyte, 22.
Although the pair landed themselves in the bottom two places, it was really Bez who brought himself to the bottom of the rankings.
The Happy Mondays star only scored 20 out of 40 after his I’m On My Way performance with pro skater Angela Egan.
Meanwhile, the other two scored higher than him – Rachel got 24 points for her dance in If I Ain’t Got You, and Kye scored 30 out of 40 for his performance. with Rasputin.
After Rachel was eliminated from the ITV competitionmany people took to Twitter to call the program a “fix”.
One person wrote: “How is it that Bez continues to be saved on the complete #DancingOnIce fix because he is absolutely horrible and not even fun to watch!”
A second added: “#DancingOnIce why is Bez still skating. He should have gone a long time ago. He’s crap. I see that’s the fix.”
