Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi was unwilling to switch international allegiance to Ivory Coast to stay with England

MARC GUEHI has not heard from anyone in Ivory Coast about a change of allegiance – despite claims from her manager earlier this week.
Elephants head coach Patrice Beaumelle said on Tuesday he had tried to get in touch with the new signing England Defenders a few weeks ago about the problem.
However, SunSport understand that neither the player nor his family have had any contact with Beaumelle or anyone at the Ivorian federation.
One also believes that Guehi would probably stay with the Three Lions anyway.
the crystal palace Star, 21, was born in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast.
He moved to England as a baby and played in the youth ranks of the Three Lions.

Already in September he was appointed captain of the England U21s.
And he could now remain in Gareth Southgate’s top squad after making his senior bow in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Switzerland.
Guehi was absent from Tuesday night’s 3-0 win over Ivory Coast at Wembley Stadium.
In his pre-game press conference the day before, Beaumelle said: “I’ve been following Marc for two years.

“I know he can still choose Ivory Coast, so we’re working on that.
“I tried to contact him a few weeks ago before his decision.
“I understand he wants to try the Three Lions at the moment.
“I’ll wait a few weeks and try to contact him to see if he’s interested in coming.”
