HARRIS COUNTY, Texas– A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the front yard of his boss’s East Harris County home, the HCSO sheriff said.
The shooting took place around 6:30 p.m. on the 14000 block of Victoria near Frankie Street.
According to the HCSO, the man was allegedly at the home to collect payment from his boss. A witness at the scene said the 30-year-old victim was waiting outside in the front yard for his boss.
While the money was being exchanged, two men approached the residence, got out of a vehicle with long rifles and shot the man, hitting him once in the head and groin.
The perpetrators fled the scene and the man was taken to hospital in critical condition.
It’s currently being determined if this was a targeted act, but the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is now calling it another random act of violence in the Houston area.
This case is currently under investigation.
