Crime: Circle K store clerk shot in leg after telling loitering group to go in West Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A gas station employee was found shot dead in west Houston Saturday after telling a group to leave, police said.
HPD responded to the gunshot order at around 11:30 p.m. at a Circle K gas station at 12702 Whittington Drive and found the employee with a gunshot wound to the leg. According to HPD, the clerk noticed a large crowd of people loitering in front of the store.
He went outside to tell them they had to leave when a person pulled out a gun and shot the employee, police said.
The employee was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
At this time there is no description of the suspect who shot the employee.
