RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) – Creedmoor’s Veronica Schanzenbacher became the fourth winner of a new Corvette Stingray and $100,000 in cash after trying her luck with a $5 scratch card.

Schanzenbacher bought her ticket Monday at the Creedmoor Food Store on North Durham Avenue in Creedmoor and claimed her cash prize at Lottery Headquarters in Raleigh on Friday.

Earning $71,011 after required state and federal tax withholdings, she took the first steps towards acquiring her brand new Corvette.

Corvette & Cash scratch cards launched in July with four grand prizes, a Corvette Stingray, plus a $100,000 cash prize up for grabs.

Winners can select a 2021 or currently available model and select their preferred options to take home a sports car valued at up to $109,600. You will also receive a cash prize of $100,000.

A fifth Corvette plus $100,000 in cash is the top prize in a second chance draw in the game. The draw is scheduled for April 20th.

Since the final grand prize has been won, the lottery begins the process of ending the game. Tickets that are still on sale can be entered into the draw. The closing date for the raffle is April 15th.

Ticket sales from scratch cards like Corvette & Cash allow the lottery to raise more than $900 million a year for education. For details on how the money raised through the lottery impacted Granville County in 2021, see www.nclottery.com and click the Impact section.
