On last night’s episode of the show dedicated to the English countryside, presenter Adam embarked on a trip to Pewsey in Wiltshire.

Upon arrival, he meets a farmer named Neil Ridgway, who has been successful in finding his own renewable resource and this involves a little help from his cows.

Adam was amazed to learn how Neil turned his cow dung into a working electricity source.

“The energy bills on the farm are phenomenal, and on our farm our annual electricity bill is around £10,000,” explains Neil.

He added: “So what we did in 2017, we put these solar panels on the roof of our sheep shed, and since they’ve been there, we figure they’ve saved money. about 60% of our electricity bill.

“When I discovered that cowsheds could be turned into electricity and saved even more, I just needed to learn more.”

The segment runs with some shots of cows doing their business.

But while Countryfile the presenter was surprised, BBC One can’t choose the worst time to play the photos.

Viewers showed no interest on social media, as they were more disgusted than amazed.

A fifth fan complained: “I know they’re showing something positive, and that’s great, but they really don’t need that many clips… I feel nauseous!”, in when another added: “” Ewwww hot poo! “
