Countryfile host Helen Skelton makes Instagram return after husband Richie Myler ‘leaves family home’


Helen Skelton has returned to Instagram after revealing she has split from her husband, rugby player Richie Myler.

Skelton’s announcement came just four months after they welcomed their third child.

“It’s very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple,” she told her followers. “He left the family home. We will do our best to raise our little children together.”

Skelton, who married Myler in 2013, accompanied the post with two heartbroken emojis.

The couple have three children together: Ernie, aged six, Louis, aged five, and Elsie Kate, aged four months.

Fans noticed that the presenter was no longer wearing her wedding ring in Skelton’s new Instagram post, a video about energy saving.

Skelton announced her split from Myler shortly after she shared a post about motherhood on Saturday (April 23).

The post read: “A mom is always full of emotion, full of love, full of fear and worry, full of exhaustion and lack of energy, full of maternal guilt and doubt, full of pride in her children, full of pure joy.

“She feels everything, that’s the beauty of her, she wears it too, and yet every day she gets up and does it all over again.”

Skelton became famous after its presentation Blue Peter from 2008 to 2013.

Myler, an English national rugby league, currently plays for Yorkshire club Leeds Rhinos.
