Countdown fans believe Richard Osman will replace Anne Robinson as the show’s new host


TV fans have theorized that Richard Osman will replace Anne Robinson as the new host of countdown.

On Tuesday (3 May) the former weakest link The presenter announced that she was stepping down from the Channel 4 quiz show after a year.

While Robinson said her departure meant it was time for “an older woman to take the reins,” some fans have speculated pointless Star Osman would take on the role.

Osman has previously shared his love for the show, tweeting in April when Nadine Dorrie announced plans to privatize Channel 4: “I will buy Channel 4 to protect him Countdown.

Ladbrokes have the presenter and producer front runner to replace Robinson at odds of 3/1.

Susan Calman and Alex Horne are also among the favorites.
