Corpse Husband explains why he wears a mask when meeting people IRL

The YouTube star Corpse Husband is a “faceless” influencer – but when the inevitable IRL reunion happens, he has a way around his identity.

Corpse Husband is a popular YouTuber and music artist best known for his very deep voice.

Although he’s been on YouTube for a while, he first rose to prominence in late 2020 after participating in live streams with other major broadcasters.

Since then, Corpse has evolved 7 million YouTube subscribers, released a song featuring none other than Machine Gun Kelly and even starred in Funimation’s anime Tribe Nine.

Corpse Husband notably landed a role as a villain in Funimation’s Tribe Nine.

Corpse’s popularity comes with some major limitations for the influencer — namely, not showing his face. Corpse has stated that he is very scared that anyone has seen his face in the past and that he never shares photos of himself.

In previous projects, Corpse has used an animated avatar to represent themselves or collaborated entirely online with other influencers and companies.

However, as his popularity continues to grow, it stands to reason that Corpse would need to attend the occasional real-life gathering, which is why he wears a mask (outside of global health concerns, of course).

Corpse Husband is a “faceless YouTuber,” meaning he doesn’t show his face in his content. Instead, he relies on avatars created by his fans.

Corpse Husband reveals difficulties wearing mask in IRL

“The vocals would be a bit distorted because of the mask,” he said, speaking about going out and meeting people while wearing a mask during a livestream.

Unfortunately, using a mask hampers his ability to communicate effectively, as the material can affect the sound output of his deep voice.

“Even when I use a mask to talk to people in person, it cuts off part of my voice,” he added.

Despite the difficulties that wearing a mask adds to his communication, it looks like Corpse has figured out a way to navigate IRL meetings as best he can while he’s “very, very busy” in the middle of upcoming projects is. Corpse Husband explains why he wears a mask when meeting people IRL
