Cops say New York gang beats and robs man

A gang of muggers repeatedly beat a man and stole his wallet after he withdrew money from an East Harlem bank earlier this week, cops said.

The victim, a 67-year-old, was walking on Third Avenue near East 117th Street around 10:45 p.m. Thursday after withdrawing cash from the bank.

The four strangers ran up to him from behind and began beating him, police said Thursday night.

One of the robbers also hit him in the head with a “blunt object,” police said.

The crew snatched the victim’s wallet — containing about $800, identification documents and a debit card — before running away and driving north on Third Avenue, cops said.

The victim was taken to the Metropolitan Hospital Center in stable condition.

Cops released surveillance footage of three of the suspects, each wearing winter coats with hoods pulled up. Cops say New York gang beats and robs man
