Their huge markings are visible on the side of the unfinished tower on his estate near Framlingham, Suffolk.

Shape of You star Ed, 31, received approval for a crypt burial beneath the chapel last month – despite opposition from locals.

Ed’s place of worship will have a lead roof, flint walls and stained glass windows.

But at the moment it is still a construction site, the tower is scaffolded.

Ed lives on his 16-acre estate with his wife Cherry Seaborn, 29, and their one-year-old daughter Lyra.

Dubbed ‘Sheeranville’, it consists of a main house – plus three others – a pub, an orchard and recording studio, and a wildlife pond.

Ed, who is worth £220million, has spent £3million refurbishing his ‘mini-village’.
