JAKE PAUL accused Conor McGregor of being “drunk all the time” and said he would beat the UFC icon “very easily” in a boxing match.
The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter has spent the past two years trying to tease and praise McGregor caught up in a mega money fight.
And in his final swipe, Paul taunted the Irishman with drinking accusations and claimed a boxing match was so one-sided that he’s ready to get into MMA.
When asked if he would beat McGregor in the ring, he said on The Journey podcast: “Yeah, very easily too.
“And that’s even now, catch him in two or three fights from now on and it’s going to be really bad for him.
“He’s on the decline, drunk all the time, lost his motivation, doesn’t really have any motivation for why he’s fighting other than his ego.
“I’m getting exponentially better every day so it’s bad for him how he cuts it.
“And that’s why I’m saying I’m going to fight him in MMA because I don’t think he’s going to take the fight in boxing.”
McGregor, 33, has lost his last two fights to fellow 33-year-old Dustin Poirier, the first by KO and the second to a broken leg.
He has since recovered and recently returned to the gym – with the promise of “complete abstinence” from alcohol when he starts training camp.
McGregor owns the Black Forge Pub in Dublin and often compliments and consumes his Proper 12 whiskey and stout beer.
Paul, 25, has since doubled down on his offer to fight the former UFC champion in the cage.
He said: “He just looks like s***. I’m a better boxer than Dustin Poirier and look what Dustin did to him in the first round.
“Again it comes down to the fact that he’s not in his prime anymore and I can barely get into it. I haven’t reached my man strength age yet.
“So the future is bright for me and how much better can you get if you drink Jack Daniels like him every day? And at the end of his career he gets really drunk in Dubai.
“For me, I’m hungry, I’m motivated and I have so much to learn, so I know I can beat him at anything, any martial art that we do.”
Paul was last in the ring in December when he knocked out 39-year-old Tyron Woodley in their late-announced rematch.
Woodley had been beaten on points four months earlier but replaced 22-year-old Tommy Fury, who retired injured.
Paul added KOs over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
The American, who has yet to fight a recognized boxer, announced his return in August.
Meanwhile, McGregor is gearing up for a UFC comeback later this year but has no opponent in the pipeline so far.
