Colorado snow forecast: Exact weather announcement date issued on Thursday

DENVER (KDVR) – Another storm system will move over Colorado on Thursday bringing snow and cold temperatures.

Snow will begin mid-morning on the Front Strip and will continue until midday before moving out into the afternoon. Totals will range from 1 to 3 inches in Metro Denver and 2 to 4 inches in the foothills and Palmer Chia.

This will not be a major storm system for the plains or the mountains. The mountains can see a layer of dust up to 2 inches thick and up to an inch in the Eastern Plains.

Dry weather will return on Thursday night. Friday will be warmer and drier with high temperatures in the 40s. Weekends will be beautiful with sunshine and peaks in the 50s both days.

Denver will have another chance to snow next Tuesday and Wednesday.
