Cold rain will give way to snow – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A cold shower is pouring down parts of Maryland this morning, but cold air is coming in.

As of 6 a.m., temperatures are in the mid-30s and below 40. However, a cold front in the Arctic will cause them to plummet to as low as 30 in the next few hours.

This cold air can cause blisters in the road, so slow down and give yourself plenty of time.

Winter Weather Notice in effect for parts of Central Maryland through 1:00 p.m. ET

Most areas will have 1 to 3 inches of snow with some pockets possibly up to nearly 4 inches.

We expect most of the snow to fall around 10am and then start to taper off.

Things improve after lunchtime, but reschedule as it will be cold and pale!
