Clayton removes woman he says he no longer trusts, calls ‘fake crying’ on ‘The Bachelor’

NEW YORK – Women’s jealousy increased this week on “The Bachelor” as some women started going on second dates while others still haven’t gotten their first dates. Sarah has returned from a second one-on-one date, clutching her rose to the fury of the group. She says she is ready for married life and also ready to confront the liars who tried to get Clayton to get rid of her. Sarah immediately spoke to the group of women and told them that there was no one to tell that she was not ready to be engaged and was too young. Mara sat there quietly, rolling her eyes for a moment, and then admitted that she had talked to Clayton about being unhappy because she hadn’t had a date of her own. Sarah later said that Clayton told her on their date that the comments about her seemed like a last-ditch effort by someone who was nervous about coming home.

Cocktail party

Clayton walked in and thanked the women for letting him “grow” with him. He pulled Serene first to talk to her. He said he really valued the insightful conversation they had about the loss of her cousin. Clayton brought along several mason jars with lights to represent fireflies to signify the light of her cousin’s life. Serene was emotional and it reminded her of the memory she shared with him about her and her cousin chasing fireflies as children.

Susie giggled as she told Clayton how much she liked him and spent the rest of the time kissing him. Clayton said he appreciates her “all-in” personality. Teddi says she wants to develop their relationship more so he can come see her family. Rachel seems to have had a nice chat with Clayton, but they don’t know much about it.

Meanwhile, Mara decides to pull Sarah aside and the other women say, “bleep!” They know this can make a mess for them. Mara said she didn’t appreciate the “final” effort comment from the day before. She also accused Mara of calling her and the other girls a “two-person” relationship. Later, Mara tells Sarah that she was “overconfident” and that she should step back to be quiet and sweet. Sarah holds it together and says she’s just being herself. However, Gabby and Eliza never spoke to Clayton and Jesse returned to say they had run out of time and it was time for the rose ceremony.

Rose Festival
1) Teddi (1-1 week ago)
2) Rachel (last week’s group date)
3) Sarah (one on one)
4) Susie
5) Serenity
6) Gabby
7) Genevieve

That means Eliza and Mara have been eliminated. That gave Mara a sting, right after that whole speech.

Private date with Susie

The final seven and Clayton go to Vienna, Austria! This is the last stop before returning home. The first dating card appeared and it said, “Susie, I love you like a fairy tale.” Susie is on a second one-on-one date. Rose day means hometown day. Clayton picked her up in a luxury car and he was delighted that love had come to them. This is her classic date in Cinderella. He took her shopping for designer clothes and dresses and they left with tons of bags. They went on a little tour and Clayton said he liked the affection she showed him. Next, he took her to meet a fashion designer, where she could try on some gorgeous dresses. Susie shed tears of happiness.

Susie returns to the hotel from the first part of the date with all her bags. The women squealed as she showed off what she received. Then a man delivered a red dress that she tried on at the designers’. Apparently red is Clayton’s favorite dress color. Susie tried it for the group and they were envious. All agree that she looks gorgeous.

Susie and Clayton then move on to date night with dinner inside a palace. Clayton tells Susie that he sees her as appreciative and humble. Susie says she has never had a day like it before and she has never even treated herself to something so special. She comes from a humble family with a humble background and parents who have a difficult upbringing. Susie said that her father would be very sweet to Clayton and that she would be delighted to introduce them if he would pick her up for a date back home. Clayton says he doesn’t want to annoy her with all the attention but he wants her to know that she deserves it. With that, he gave her a dating rose! Susie is taking Clayton home!

Clayton then led Susie into a ballroom, where Chris de Burgh performed the hit song “Lady in Red”. Would it be better?! Also – there’s no way he’s performing Susie will wear anything but a red dress!

Group Day
The group’s date card reads, “Sarah, Teddi, Genevieve, Rachel, Gabby, what a daredevil when it’s definitely love.” That means Serene is on a unique date. They all met a woman who did psychoanalysis. Each of them is set to have a couples therapy session with Clayton. Gabby cried about her deep feelings for Clayton and her mother’s love. Teddi has talked about how she’s more open to Clayton than anyone she’s ever met in the past.

During her session, Genevieve sat silently for a moment, swore, and then said she didn’t understand her own feelings because she was having conflicting emotions. She told the therapist that she didn’t know what Clayton needed to do for their relationship to work. Clayton shares her fear, and she says, “It’s not you, it’s me.” It was clear that he was using this opportunity to cut her off. Clayton takes her out and tells her that he doesn’t think they had enough time to develop a relationship sooner. That was the end of Genevieve.

Clayton informed the women that he had sent Genevieve home. He then continued his session with Rachel. She talked about her fear of losing their relationship, but also added that she trusts Clayton. He loved hearing that she trusted him and he felt as if he could be himself around her. He worries that she is starting to question things. Sarah came last and she told the women she loved therapy so she was very excited. She started crying about how other women were targeting her after having a second casual date. Clayton tried to reassure her that the situation was in the past and that he felt really good about where they were in their relationship. The therapist tells Clayton that she finds some of the talks effective. Sorry!

Group day after party
Clayton tells the group that he’s really bothered by the “performer” comment and asks what’s coming to the group. He told Rachel he knew it wasn’t her but then asked her if she asked him why she thought about not moving on. She said “no” and admitted she was worried about Sarah’s second one-of-a-kind. She scolds Sarah for telling too much about the date and how Clayton and Sarah cried together. He was annoyed because “there is no truth to it.” She said her and Teddi’s views seem to change because they feel like they haven’t made it far in their relationship. Gabby and Teddi back up what Rachel said.

“I actually heard a lot of things tonight,” Clayton told Sarah. She started crying immediately. He brings up the therapist’s comments and all the women say. “I want to be super clear, I didn’t say any of those things,” Sarah said. She told Clayton that she felt thrown under the bus. Clayton told her, “I feel like you’re trying to fake crying with me, it just doesn’t seem real.” She told him that she had run out of tears. What a disaster! His trust is broken. “I think we’re done. I can’t move forward with you,” Clayton said. That was the end of Sarah’s journey.

Clayton informs the group that he has decided to send Sarah home. In the end, he decided he couldn’t postpone the group’s date because he needed more time to think about his decision.

Serene’s One-on-One Date

Serene met Clayton on their big date and she asked him about his breakup with Sarah. He feels better when she reinforces that she trusts him and his decisions. He said he felt like she really cared about him. They were dancing happily with an accordion player outside.

Afterwards, they went to Belvedere Castle for dinner. Serene said she did not bring her boyfriend home to meet her parents until her high school boyfriend. She said they broke up because of being together for a long time but growing apart. Both said they worried that their long-term relationship from their teens to 20s was probably a waste of time. However, Clayton says don’t waste time because you’re always learning in relationships. Serene tells Clayton that she is in love with him. He said he didn’t expect her to say that. Clayton offers her a commission on a date and she is delighted that he will be meeting her family.

2) Serenity (one on one)
3) Rachel
4) Gabby
That means Teddi, his first impressive rose picker, is going home. Clayton took Teddi out and she said she couldn’t understand what had changed over the course of a week. She is heartbroken that their relationship has ended.

Next week
Clayton bungee jumping, but even more horrifying, he meets the family of his last four women! Difficult dads are understandable!
