Other benefits, including the Housing Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Jobseeker’s Allowance (JA), Child Tax Credit, Employment Tax Credit, and Income Support, will be available. paid at the same time.

However, if you’re due for your Universal Credit payment on Wednesday, December 29, you’ll receive it on the same day.

Though if you receive a non-Common Credit payment, anything due on December 29 will arrive earlier than Christmas Eve.

Those expecting a General Credit payment in early January should also be aware of the changed payment dates.

If your payment is due on January 3, you should receive it on New Year’s Eve (Friday, December 31) instead.

This applies to General Credit and other types of benefits.

However, anyone with any payments due on Tuesday, January 4 can expect that payment to arrive on that date.

The only exception to that rule might be people in Scotland. Instead, Non-Universal Credit payments due on January 4 could come on December 31, as Scotland has an extra bank holiday on that Tuesday.
