A Christian crisis center for pregnant women in Colorado was vandalized and set on fire Saturday morning, a day after the US Supreme Court overturned federal protections on abortions.
Police responded to a fire at Life Choices in Longmont at around 3:20 a.m. and found the building ablaze, covered in graffiti messages referencing the controversial Roe v. Wade referred, officials said.
“If abortions aren’t safe, neither are you,” read one message, accompanied by the circled “A” anarchy symbol.
The spell has been written at dozens of pro-life centers since the court’s intent to overturn the 1973 ruling was leaked in May.
“Prohibitions from our bodies” was also painted on the building’s entrance hallway, while another anarchy symbol adorned the facade, images released by the police show.
According to its website, Life Choices offers women alternatives to abortion as well as faith-based post-abortion counseling.

The building suffered severe fire and smoke damage, and police searched surveillance footage in the area looking for the arsonist or suspects.
The inverse of Roe v. Wade is expected to lead to abortion bans in about half of US states, but would not directly affect Colorado, which currently allows pregnant residents wide access to the procedure.
