Chris Rock: “Ego Death” Tour Adds 2nd Sugar Land Date at Smart Financial Center

SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) – Chris Rock Day at Sugar Land became Chris Rock Weekend.

The standup comedian’s “Ego Death” tour added a second date at the Smart Financial Center to the existing one Date Saturday November 5th.

Tickets for the new show set for Sunday 6th November are on sale now. Similar to the Saturday show, the Sunday show is set to start at 8 p.m. Maps are available on the Ticketmaster website.

The venue noted the high demand for the extra night. Additional tour stops in Irving, Texas and Atlanta added additional dates.

The video above is from an earlier story following the 2022 Academy Awards altercation between Rock and Will Smith.

Of course, the popularity of Rock’s tour follows the 57-year-old being slapped in the face by Will Smith during last month’s Oscars, which were watched by millions of viewers worldwide.

Rock, who has declined to press charges against the Oscar winner, has not publicly expressed his thoughts or feelings about the incident, aside from telling fans at his show in Boston that it was him still handling the incident and would address it at some point in the future.

Smith apologized to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and later to Rock for the slap. The Academy banned the “King Richard” star Participation in the award ceremony for 10 years. Smith also voluntarily resigned as an academician.
