For years, a debate has raged about which of four Hollywood actors named Chris is the best. Her many fans disagree on who the best Chris is. But one of them, Chris Pine, has a rather unexpected idea to bring Hollywood Chris together. Instead of competing, he thinks they should get together and have fun.

In 2020, Pine appeared on stir crazy, the YouTube series Comedy Central. Host Josh Horowitz immediately brought up the subject of the Hollywood Chrises, saying that Pine was his favorite. After a few minutes of banter about the competition, Horowitz pitched the idea that they should all appear in an “Avengers-style movie” called Avengers Baptism.
Pine responded with another idea for his Chrises cohort, and it doesn’t seem like he wants to fight at all.
“Shoot, man, either we might like a Comic-Con — a Chrisi-Con,” he said. “Or we like a Rat Pack show at the Sands, you know? Where we entertain and do a little variety.”
If you’re having trouble imagining the Chrises headlining a show in Las Vegas, this might be awesome. After all, they worked hard for years to save the world in the movies. Maybe they’re ready for something a little lighter.
Who are the Hollywood Chrises?
People have argued for years about who has Chris at the helm. According to The National News, people often point to a specific tweet that sparked the controversy.
In 2020, producer and screenwriter Amy Berg shared pictures of four famous actors named Chris: Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine and Chris Pratt. She posed the challenge “You have to go” and a big debate ensued.
All four men are known for appearing in superhero films. Pine appeared in the 2017 film wonder woman and unexpectedly returned in the 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984. Hemsworth became a superstar playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s owned the role since his 2011 debut as the Norse God.
Pratt first rose to fame as the bumbling Andy Dwyer on the popular TV series Parks and Recreation. But his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy propelled him to superhero fame. Evans also played a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe – the sane Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.
Chris Pine and his Chrises colleagues remain active
In response to Berg’s tweet, most agreed that Pratt had to go. His wife Katherine Schwarzenneger and co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo all came to his defense. And so the Hollywood crisis debate rages on as they all continue to find acting work.
In 2022, Pine will appear in The service provider and All old knives. Pratt likes to stick to big-budget fare Jurassic World: Dominion and Thor: Love and Thunder. Hemsworth is also, of course, reprising his role in the Thor franchise. And Evans has a lot going on, including his recent return The gray man.
Apparently, the feud between the Hollywood Chrises hasn’t hurt either of them, although none have come out on top yet. Maybe Pine is right and they should celebrate their connection with the ultimate celebration of all things Chris on stage in Las Vegas. They definitely have enough fans to fill the seats.
