Chicago Bulls Saved An Entire City on Monday Night

The Chicago Bears played a very bad football game on Monday Night Football. They were exterminated by the Minnesota Vikings for another embarrassing loss on national television. Fortunately, Chicago Bulls was there to save the city from true sports sadness.

There is nothing worse than the aforementioned sports sadness. Well, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs are on the off-season to leave the winter teams. The Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bears each stink in their own way so just leaving the Bulls now.

They beat the Houston Rockets with an overall score of 133-118. It was an all-out defeat by one of the worst teams in the NBA. You don’t want to give up 118 points but scoring 133 definitely makes it a lot better.

This is the second inning of a return confrontation as the Bulls beat the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night in their return game from the COVID-19 pause. For the second night in a row, DeMar DeRozan led the team in points with 26 points. It was also the second night in a row that he led all players in scoring, with no one in the Rockets scoring as many.

The second-highest scorer for either team is also a Chicago Bulls player. Coby White also had a great game for the Bulls as he pumped out 24 points. He also had two assists and four rebounds in his 32 minutes. He really looks like someone who could be next to the other great players on the team.

The Chicago Bulls really made the city of Chicago proud on Monday night.

A lot of people rely on their team to entertain them for the rest of their lives. The Chicago teams have mostly not been good at generating fun for a few years now but the Bulls are really turning the tide. With their second win in a row, they advance to a 19-10 record, which is a very good thing. They also had a couple of losses there with half of their team missing because of COVID-19 so they got a pass.

This is a really good team that the city can get behind despite the Bears being terrible. Who would have thought that the two teams led by Jerry Reinsdorf (Bulls, White Sox) would be the two strongest teams in town?

Hopefully they can continue to play well and make things happen this season. They’re on track to do that, and it looks like they can beat almost anyone in a seven-game series. They probably won’t win it all in their first year with this new cast but you never know. Now it’s about forming good habits and winning games like this. Chicago can feel good about this team.
