Chelsea face a battle to keep Levi Colwill as Premier League rivals are set to make “summer transfer offers” for the defender

CHELSEA will reportedly face a struggle to keep Levi Colwill with Premier League clubs expected to make transfer bids in the summer.
The 19-year-old has received rave reviews while on loan at Huddersfield this season, where he made 26 appearances.
Centre-back Colwill was instrumental in the Yorkshire team’s promotion push – he helped with it terrier reach fourth place in the table.
and acc Fabrizio Romanohis form has attracted the attention of “a multitude of European and Premier League clubs”.
Colwill came from Under-9 level through Chelsea academy before becoming a senior player in 2021.
But he spent his first season as a senior on loan in the Championship, where he made his name by also playing for England Under-21s.

Fikayo Tomori and Marc Guehi had similar paths before eventually leaving Chelsea for AC Milan and Crystal Palace respectively.
But Trevoh Chalobah – also an academy product – has been a fixture in Thomas Tuchel’s defense this season.
And with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen’s contracts expiring in the summer, Chelsea could turn to Colwill as a replacement.
Barcelona are believed to be on pole to secure Christensen’s services in the summer.

While the Blues are still trying to tie Rudiger to a new deal, they have recently renewed captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
Tuchel said at the time: “I knew it was going to happen because I knew the number of games before it would happen.
“It was so close. It’s a good thing, we were aware of that. It’s good news for us.
“We have a contract, he is our captain, it is very likely that he will stay.”
