‘Cheer’ star Cassadee Dunlap’s father shot, in ‘critical condition’

“Cheer” star Cassadee Dunlap’s father is in critical condition after he was shot dead Saturday when he accidentally walked into the wrong Arkansas apartment.

The 49-year-old entered the wrong apartment in a Little Rock complex around 3am and was subsequently shot dead by the owner, local broadcaster KATV reported.

A spokesman for the Little Rock Police Department said Ron Dunlap had been drinking with his nephew and a few friends before attempting to force his way into apartment 12D rather than his own 15th-century apartment.

Joshua Womack, the owner of Apartment 12D, said he fell asleep when he heard a banging.

Womack, 23, said he “woke up and grabbed his gun” and fired five or six rounds at Dunlap.

Police found Dunlap “lying face down on the floor outside Womack’s apartment” and managed to render enough assistance to take him to a hospital, where he is in critical condition.

Dunlap’s daughter Cassadee, who appeared in the second season of Netflix hit Cheer, has yet to issue a statement.

The former Navarro cheerleader and “Toddlers and Tiaras” star currently works as a part-time cheerleading coach at the University of Arkansas.

Little Rock Police told the Post the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.

The Post has also reached out to Dunlap and “Cheer” for comment.

This is the latest scandal to shake the foundation of the Netflix show.

In early July, former “Cheer” superstar Jerry Harris was sentenced to 12 years in prison and forced to register as a sex offender after multiple people reported that he had attempted to engage in sexual activity with a minor. An FBI investigation found he produced child pornography.

In June, another member of the Navarro team was hit by a car.

Maddy Brum, 19, was crossing the street in Kansas City, Missouri, when the car came flying out of nowhere.

Brum’s injuries were not life-threatening, leaving only “bruising and lacerations.”

Netflix has not yet announced whether they will be producing a third season of the sports documentary.
