Carson Wentz trolled over the suit at the Commanders’ press conference

Carson Wentz showed up in Commanders colors for his inaugural press conference in Washington on Thursday, and the internet had a big day with his “mustard and ketchup” look.

A person tweeted“Carson Wentz goes all HOF with the mustard gold jacket of the French.”

Other added, “Anyone who makes life difficult for Carson Wentz when choosing his wardrobe. I think it was a great choice. Every Weiner should have mustard and ketchup.”

Booger McFarland, a former NFL defenseman and current ESPN analyst, laughed at Wentz’s “mustard blazer and crimson shirt” during an appearance at SportsCenter, calling it an “aggressive” look.

Wentz too sculpted a postman from Washington Jacket with the team’s new logo, the debuted last monthin a photo posted by the commanders’ Twitter account for public relations.

On the podium, Wentz took responsibility for his “bad” play at the end of his only season at Indianapolis. He said he was “definitely surprised” at how things ended with the Colts.

The Colts lost their final two games of the regular season to the Raiders and Jaguars to miss the playoffs.

“I think it’s been a year of ups and downs, ups and downs,” he said. “But the way we finished, the way I finished, it was awful. It was terrible. It was hard to swallow.”

The quarterback threw for 27 touchdowns and tied his career-low in interceptions with seven in 2021.

Wentz said he’s “excited” to be back at the NFC East and wearing the No. 11, which he said “feels like home.”

Wentz, the Eagles’ No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL draft, spent five seasons in Philadelphia, where he won a Super Bowl against the Patriots four years ago — though it was Nick Foles who filled in for an injured Wentz during the playoffs. Wentz was benched in 2020 when current Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts took over, then was traded to the Colts this past March.

The Colts traded Wentz to Washington last Wednesday along with second- and seventh-round picks in this year’s draft for second- and third-round picks this year and a conditional third-round pick in 2023.
