Canada’s median home price up nearly 20% year-on-year in November: CREA – National

The Real Estate Association of Canada said home sales in November increased from the previous month.

The association said seasonally adjusted home sales in November rose 0.6 percent after posting a 9% increase in October.

The increase comes as CREA says sales have increased month on month in about three-quarters of all local markets and in all major cities.

Compared to a year ago, actual home sales were down 0.7%.

The national median real home price was $720,850 in November, up 19.6% from a year ago.

With the exception of Greater Vancouver and the Greater Toronto Area, two of the country’s most expensive and dynamic housing markets, CREA said, a $158,000 cut from the national median price was made.
