Call of Duty Modern Warfare II UI criticized by beta players

Numerous players have paralyzed it Call of Duty Modern Warfare II user interface in the PS5 beta and asked Infinity Ward to change the UIs in several areas of the game. In general, fans agree that the main menu feels cheap and overly complicated, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Fans want Modern Warfare II’s UI to be scrapped

Players posting their thoughts in the official Modern Warfare II beta feedback thread on Reddit believe the UI needs an overhaul. At the time of writing this article, the most upvoted comment from BelliYelliCheese is: “UI needs to be changed/updated. It feels like a cheap layer added on top of the game, the COD mobile vibes aren’t good.” Other users replying to the comment add that the main menu looks horrible and that the font is awful . Worse, some find the menu to be too similar to Battlefield 2042, which isn’t a comparison any multiplayer shooter would want.

Aside from the main menu UI, another user named itsharris0n writes in another highly upvoted comment that editing a class in the middle of a game is too difficult. The user also wants the compass bar and location name to be closer to those in Modern Warfare (2019). Another commenter named ellievee97 has enjoyed the maps and core game so far, but agrees that “the UI is incredibly cumbersome and needs a pass”.

Hopefully, Infinity Ward will take this feedback into account as the beta progresses. During this testing period, we probably won’t see any immediate changes to the user interfaces, as the developers’ top priority is to ensure the stability of the multiplayer modes across different platforms. The beta will be open to all players on PS4 and PS5 starting September 18th, while those who have early access on Xbox, or Steam will have a chance to join the Firefight on September 22nd. It will then be available to all players on September 24th for a few days before the beta ends on September 26th.

Also, the Modern Warfare 2 beta on PS5 requires a workaround to hit 120Hz, and the full Street Fighter 6 character roster has been revealed. Call of Duty Modern Warfare II UI criticized by beta players
