Californian Jairaj Singh Dhillon has been arrested for groping two women on a plane

A California man has been arrested for allegedly red-eyed groping two women – one carrying a baby – on a cross-country flight on Wednesday, officials said.

During the night flight from Los Angeles to Boston, Jairaj Singh Dhillon, 42, of Modesto, allegedly first inappropriately touched a woman sitting in the aisle seat next to him, according to indictments.

He is accused of grabbing the woman’s thigh and groin while she was tending to her toddler, who was sitting in a car seat in the window seat next to her.

The woman screamed “this man just groped me” and asked for help, the federal prosecutor said.

The second victim, seated across from Dhillon, claimed he reached out with both hands and grabbed her groin and buttocks as she stood in the aisle.

The flight crew responded and moved Dhillon to a different part of the plane for the remainder of the flight, according to court documents.

When the plane landed in Boston Wednesday morning, he was arrested and charged with two counts of abusive sexual contact while in the United States’ special jurisdiction for aircraft.

Each charge Dhillon faces carries up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

He is expected to appear in federal court for a custody hearing on Thursday. Californian Jairaj Singh Dhillon has been arrested for groping two women on a plane
