Bruce Willis has never won an Oscar, but his award list is far from empty

Willis’ film career is filled with billions of dollars blockbuster and multiple roles that proved he was more than just an action star. His career spanned nearly 40 years and spanned some critically acclaimed films, but has Willis ever won an Oscar? No, but its price shelf is far from empty.
Willis has not won an Oscar during his career
Willis has achieved a lot during his career, but winning an Oscar was an honor he was denied. His name was never mentioned during the Oscars, which is not surprising – he never received a nomination.
Hollywood’s most prestigious awards ceremony never came, but Willis has been next to the Oscar many times during his career:
- pulp fiction, in which Willis plays a small boxer, won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Co-stars John Travolta (Best Actor), Uma Thurman (Best Supporting Actress), and Samuel L. Jackson (Best Supporting Actor) received Oscar nominations. The film was nominated for best picture and Quentin Tarantino received a nomination for best director.
- The sixth Sensethat was one of the films that were presented Willis is more than an action star, won six Oscar nominations. Haley Joel Osment, Willis’ young co-star, won Best Supporting Actress and Toni Collette was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. M. Night Shyamalan snagged Best Director and Best Screenplay nominations, and the film was nominated for Best Picture.
- Willis starred alongside Brad Pitt in 12 monkeysa film for which Pitt was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
Also Wes Anderson Moonrise Kingdomstarring Willis received an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay.
Though the Academy Awards never honored Willis, he has received other acting awards throughout his career.
He received two Primetime Emmys for two roles
Willis debuted in a trio of uncredited roles (including in Paul Newman’s vehicle The judgment in 1982) before appearing in a 1984 episode of MiamiVice. After properly starting his career, it didn’t take long for him to earn some accolades.
Willis began playing David Addison Jr undeclared work In 1985 and 1986 he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama. Willis won his first acting award at the 1987 Emmys in the same category.
The Golden Globes nominated Willis three times from 1986 to 1988 for Best Performance in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical, and he took home the award in 1987. He snagged a Golden Globes nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for In the country.
The Emmys called again in 2000. Willis appeared in three episodes of Paul Stevens friendsand in the same year he received the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
Willis has received acting awards from organizations other than the Academy Awards
The two Emmys are Bruce Willis’ only accolades from major organizations, but they’re not the only trophies he’s taken home. In addition to the star on the Walk of Fame, Willis has received a number of other awards.
Him and the rest of the cast of Moonrise Kingdom was recognized for Best Ensemble by both the Central Ohio Film Critics Association and the Phoenix Film Critics Society.
He missed the Oscars for it The sixth Sense, but Willis won a 2000 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie Star in a Drama for his work. That comes 14 years after he won the title of Favorite Male Actor in a new TV series undeclared work.
Back when the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards were still in vogue, Willis won twice in 1999 (Favorite Actor – Sci-Fi for Armageddon and Favorite Supporting Actor – Suspense for The Siege) and again in 2000 (Favorite Actor – Suspense for The sixth Sense).
