What weather Brits can expect today
Met Office forecaster Alex Deakin said: “Good Friday is scheduled for most [to be] bright, fine and dry, probably a sunnier day. Certainly good morning sunshine and some clouds will increase throughout the day, chance of an isolated afternoon shower or two but should be dry for most.
“Again, some coasts will remain cooler and possibly cloudy, but for most it’s looking quite comfortable, with temperatures well above average for the time of year, mid to high teens, 20C, 21C, maybe a bit higher in the south east on Good Friday afternoon, maybe 22°C or 23°C in some places.”
In the North West, temperatures could reach a very reasonable 18C.
In Manchester, Good Friday is likely to have similar temperatures and sunny spells later in the afternoon.
Temperatures in the North East are expected to reach around 15C today with sunny spells.
In the Midlands, Good Friday looks set to be a glorious day with temperatures reaching 18C.
Birmingham and much of the surrounding area can expect almost back-to-back sunshine.
