Adele flips through new gender-neutral categories
Last night, Adele declared “I love being a woman” as she won the new gender neutral Brit award.
Singer, 33 years old, was awarded Artist of the Year – the first time male and female artists have competed for an award.
As she stepped onto the podium to hit the gong, the star appeared to beat the event’s new gender-neutral categories as she declared ‘I’d love to be a female artist’.
She said: “I really wasn’t expecting this at all. I want to say a big congratulations to Little Sims. Dave, Ed, Sam, I’m so proud to be with you.
“I love being an artist. I can’t believe my work. England, UK, we have so many amazing young artists coming out.
“I understand why this has changed, but I really love being a woman and a female artist. I’m really proud of us.”
