Brighton star Neal Maupay begs Argentina to change his allegiance despite winning 35 youth team caps for France

His shock in 2-0 win over Watford at the end of the week, his chances of picking didn’t hurt at all.

And he faces a difficult decision if he is placed in a position where he will have to choose between France and Argentina.

He joked: “I’ve asked myself that question before. I can’t predict what will happen, but playing for a national team would be amazing.

“It’s hard to imagine two managers calling you at the same time. If this happens, of course I have to decide.”

He loves Argentina so much that he found a restaurant specializing in the country’s cuisine in Brighton that he eats at ‘whenever’ he goes out.

Maupay revealed: “We went out to eat at a restaurant in Nice one day that had Argentinian meat and I really liked it.

“Now that I live in Brighton, I go to another bar called Latinoamericano, where they cook this meat.

“I’m not one to go out much, but whenever I do, my dates are there.”
