Brighton are working to contain the coronavirus outbreak ahead of Wolves clash

Brighton boss Graham Potter is battling a Covid-19 outbreak at the club.

Potter revealed that there were “three or four” positive tests on his playing team ahead of Wednesday night’s visit. Wolf

“We have a combination of injuries and a little bit Covid ourselves,” he said.

“I would say we have three or four at the moment. And obviously that’s something we have to deal with, just like everyone else.

“Now we’re just checking and making sure it’s at that number.”

Brighton’s game against Tottenham on Sunday has been postponed following a number of positive cases in the Spurs camp, but the game against Wolves is not currently threatened.

Potter added: “We haven’t talked about that yet. “We’re trying to monitor and make sure we don’t play games with people who have Covid.

“We have to continue to monitor and test, and make sure we can keep the numbers as low as possible.

“We had the tests today and we will make a decision whether we do another test tomorrow. We just wanted to make sure it wasn’t too serious and more than three or four.

“We are all in the same position. First of all is the health and safety of players and people around. We do all we can to make sure it’s true.

“We have seen players miss the game with this and the trick is not to let it spread and become more serious.

“(Tottenham manager) Antonio Conte has made it clear that you test one day and the next day can be positive, so it’s about making sure the boys don’t come out with a positive Covid that you don’t know about. ”

Potter also confirmed that the captain Lewis Dunk will be sidelined until January with a knee injury. Brighton are working to contain the coronavirus outbreak ahead of Wolves clash
