Brentford splashes out £14m transfer for winger sensation Brennan Johnson but Nottingham Forest wants more
THOMAS FRANK’s Brentford could rake in £14m in a bid to buy the land of Nottingham Forest’s widow Brennan Johnson.
However, that still might not be enough to make a deal.
The bees has been buzzing around Johnson, 20, for months.
His form led Prem’s new boys to re-engage their interest and make a better offer.
Newly rich Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle have all been linked with the Wales international.
But Forest would love to be promoted this season from the Championship.
They are willing to take the risk even if it means Johnson is nearing the end of his contract and entering his senior year.
And sources close to the deal also say Johnson wants to wait and see if a larger team joins him.

Meanwhile, Forest will try their luck with a new offer for Derby left-back Lee Buchanan, 20, entered the January window.
