Ubisoft has revealed that a Brawlhalla Castlevania crossover that will introduce Simon Belmont and Alucard to the fighter during the Ubisoft Forward 2022 show that aired earlier today. In partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment and just in time for Halloween, the crossover event called Brawlhalla-vania will go live on October 19th for Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PS4.

Brawlhalla Vania crossover with huge axes and nimble swordplay

In the reveal trailer above we see some gameplay footage of Simon Belmont swinging his ax across the 2D battlefield and juggling enemies with his giant axe. The animated section shows his signature chain whip, but it’s a wonder he can use the weapon in combat. On the other hand, the always graceful Alucard joins the fray, using his swordplay to pull off quick combos that seem hard to break. The trailer also reveals that Alucard can also wield a scythe, which is likely to be slower but deals higher damage.

This follows an epic crossover between Brawlhalla and Assassin’s Creed that was available at the end of June this year. We’ll just have to see what other crossovers Brawlhalla will have in the future, now that it’s more open to characters from other franchises and following the trend of other fighters like Super Smash Bros. and Multiversus having rosters from a variety of other franchises.

In other news, the Mandalorian Season 3 teaser trailer has been released and the Disney Illusion Island release window has been announced and has couch co-op.
