Boris Johnson and Carrie name baby Romy and share adorable first picture

BORIS and Carrie have named their new baby girl Romy – and shared an adorable first photo.
The couple announced their daughter’s full name today – a few days later Carrie gave birth at a hospital in London.
Her full name is Romy Iris Charlotte Johnson.
Carrie, 33, shared the news on her Instagram – just minutes after the Prime Minister allowed it to appear on a clip today while he was visiting a vaccine centre.
She said the couple’s new joy is named after her aunt Rosemary, and her middle name is Charlotte after Boris’s late mother, who passed away earlier this year.
In her post, the Prime Minister’s wife said older brother Wilf had played the role very well, “stroking Romy’s hair, kissing deeply and playing with cars with his matchbox right next to her crib , in case she wants to join as well.”
And she thanked the “wonderful maternity staff” at University College Hospital for their care, adding: “we are so grateful”.
Boris, 57, has been with Carrie throughout the birth and has visited the couple several times in the last week, before they both headed home for the weekend.
The prime minister is not expected to take any official paternity leave, but will spend more time with his newborn daughter and the rest of the family over the next few weeks.
The baby girl is Carrie’s second child and Saturday Prime Minister.
The couple announced that the 33-year-old was pregnant again in July with an adorable Instagram snap of a stroller.
It came just two months after they secret wedding at Westminster Cathedral on May 29, 2021.
Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson, the couple’s first child, is named after the doctors who treated Boris for Covid.
Today’s good news comes after Carrie revealed she had lost a child earlier this year.
Announcing that she was pregnant with Romy, the Prime Minister’s wife said she was “hoping to have our rainbow baby by Christmas this year”.
She said: ”At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage which made me very sad.
”I feel incredibly lucky to be pregnant again but I also feel stressed.
” Fertility issues can be really tough for a lot of people, especially when on platforms like Instagram everything can look like everything is just going well.
She added: ”I feel so comforted to hear from people who have also experienced loss, so I hope that in a very small way sharing this can also help others. is different. ”
Months later, she revealed her “permanent anxiety” but welcome help from child loss charity Tommy’s.
