Black Mirror: The Netflix anthology series is reportedly returning for season six

black mirrorthe satirical anthology series created by Charlie Brooker, is reportedly returning to Netflix for new episodes.

The fifth season of black mirror was released by the streaming service back in 2019 and consisted of just three feature-length episodes.

After almost three years had passed since the last episode, some fans had wondered if black mirror actually came to an end.

However, a new report purely diversity claims that a sixth season of the show appears to be in development, with casting currently underway.

The report notes that certain story details are being kept “under wraps,” though it says season six will contain more episodes than season five’s three.

A source also told the publication that the new episodes will be “even more cinematic in scope” than previous seasons, with each episode “being treated as a separate movie.”

In 2020, Brooker appeared to be proposing another season of black mirror was improbable, telling radio times: “Right now I don’t know what would be left for stories about crumbling societies, so I’m not working on any of them.

“I’m very interested in rethinking my comic book skills, so I’ve written scripts aimed at making myself laugh.”
