Bizzare Madden 22 Glitch Owns Esfand Ruining Super Bowl Hopes

Twitch star and OTK member Esfand was broadcasting Madden 22 when he encountered a game-changing bug that disrupted a miracle play.

Esfand is a die-hard soccer fan and one of the most popular Madden streamers on Twitch.

He even signed a deal with the NFL during the 2021-2022 season to watch games live on his channel.

The OTK personality hadn’t streamed the esports title in months, but his return to the game delivered one of the funniest moments of his entire Madden career.

Esfand has over 1 million followers on Twitch.

It was betrayed by Madden 22

The streamer was live on March 29 as it taped its Houston Texans franchise mode.

During a game against the Cleveland Browns, the 30-year-old attempted a fake field goal to score a first down in a game that would decide who would make it to the Super Bowl.

The call was ambitious, given the incredibly high risk involved in fake plays. “I go for it!” Esfand screamed as his placeholder completed a pass to a receiver.

When the receiver was attacked, he threw him in the air to avoid a dead game, where a lineman caught him and kept the game alive in a near-act of divine intervention. The only problem was the lineman made a mistake and got stuck, turning the play from a miracle to a disaster.

Esfand screamed in complete disbelief, “No! Why did he get stuck! He had gone! That would have been legendary, dude.”

His chat couldn’t believe the game he put so much into betrayed him in such an epic way as one viewer said, “WTF is this game.”

Unfortunately for him, Esfand’s Texans lost the match in a nail biter and missed their first Super Bowl appearance.
