Lorraine Kelly has spoken out against criticism from her viewers after Boris Johnson’s failure to recognize her sparked an online comment.

The Prime Minister was further interviewed by Susanna Reid Good morning Britain on Tuesday (May 3).

At the end of the conversation, Reid introduced Kelly as the next presenter on the channel, after which Johnson was heard asking, “Who is Lorraine?”

Some have interpreted Johnson’s comment as an example of him being “out of touch” with the public, with one tweet claiming that not acknowledging Kelly would cost him.another 1.5 million votes“.

However, others have defended Johnson.

“The only people who see Lorraine are the unemployed and the vulnerable,” one commenter wrote, before claiming that by not acknowledging Kelly, Johnson would earn him votes instead of losing them.

Seeing that particular remark, Kelly decided to respond directly to the critic and tweeted her disapproval of the message.
